Direction Vichy pour Mineral 89

14 mai 2017

The last time I went to Vichy, it was 15 years ago, in the country house of a friend.
And I admit to hardly having visited anything.
This time though, it was none other with the brand Vichy that I had the opportunity to go back there for two days to learn more about the place, but also about the brand and the new Mineral 89.
Vichy thermal water is a water that is renowned around the whole world for its mineral benefits, being rich in calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium and even in iron. The water has real virtues for the skin.

That’s why, on the program, we were supposed to visit the volcanic region of Auvergne via helicopter, as it’s where Vichy L’Eau Thermale Minéralisante water comes from. It is used in the composition of their products.
Unfortunately, good weather wasn’t on schedule and we weren’t able to go there, so we simply flew over the town of Vichy… It was sublime, even though I wasn’t feeling that comfortable with the little turbulent air pockets.

For a bit of back story, if you don’t know it, it was Doctor Haller who created the brand in 1931. He was furthermore the first to introduce the therapeutic virtues fo this precious water into cosmetics. It was at that moment that the Vichy laboratories were born.

I also visited the factory where they make Vichy cosmetics.
I was able to see how the new baby of the brand, Minéral 89 is created and what the ingredients are, precisely. I was quite impressed to see it all “live”, when we are used to buying our products in large stores without imagining the production that is behind it…
It consists of a treatment that is suitable for all skin types that need to be strengthened and plumped up.
It is composed of 89% Eau Thermale de Vichy, it’s a daily skincare product (that you can apply twice a day) that will help the skin to fight against exterior aggression by reinforcing the skin barrier and by making it more resistant;
Hydralonic Acid equally adds an incredible hydrating action.

And of course, it isn’t possible to go to Vichy without taking a trip to the hot springs. I had never seen any before and to see that nature produces such things really fascinates me… From boiling water and between 60 and 100 degrees Celsius according to the sources…

Whilst I’m waiting, I hope to get rid of a few imperfections that I’ve been treating with essential oils at the moment (team Snapchat and Insta Stories, if you have followed).  Once everything is back to normal, be sure that I will adopt Minéral 89 and it will do me so much good… You know that when you are treating spots, your skin dries out quickly.
